Features designed around how migraines actually work.

Every capability in Nimbus Shield exists to help you record, understand and communicate your migraine experience. Nothing is included because it looks good in a screenshot.

Log

Log attacks and daily factors quickly, even when energy is low.

Quick attack logging

Record an attack with pain level in one tap from anywhere. Full logging adds start time, severity, duration, symptoms, triggers, medications and notes. The interface is designed for one-handed use and low-energy moments.

Information used
Pain level, time, symptoms, triggers and notes you provide.
Why it may be useful
Builds a consistent record with minimal effort during or after an attack.
Limitations
Accuracy depends on the information you enter at the time.

Migraine timer

Start a timer when an attack begins. Stop it when the attack ends and record an end-feeling assessment. The timer can send a notification if configured.

Information used
Start and end times, duration and end-feeling rating you provide.
Why it may be useful
Captures precise attack duration without manual entry.

Voice logging

Use your voice to log an attack with on-device speech-to-text. The system parses pain level, symptoms, triggers and medications from your spoken description.

Information used
Audio processed locally on your device. No audio is sent to external servers.
Why it may be useful
Provides a hands-free logging option during or after an attack. Requires manual review of the transcribed text.
Limitations
Accuracy depends on audio quality, accent and environment. The on-device model supports English. Manual corrections may be needed.

Symptom tracking

Select from common migraine symptoms or add custom entries. Each logged attack captures the specific symptoms experienced.

Information used
Symptoms you select or enter.
Why it may be useful
Helps identify which symptoms occur most frequently or together.
Limitations
Symptom lists may not cover every possible experience. Custom entries fill gaps.

Medication recording

Build a medication library with names, types (acute/preventive), dosages and monthly insurance limits. Log medications taken during attacks. Triptan-limit monitoring alerts you when approaching monthly limits or running low.

Information used
Medication names, dosages and timing you record.
Why it may be useful
Supports later review of treatment patterns, response comparisons and adherence tracking.
Limitations
Nimbus Shield does not recommend or evaluate specific medications.

Trigger identification

Record potential triggers alongside each attack from a categorised catalog or add custom entries. Over time, patterns may emerge that help identify common factors.

Information used
Triggers you select or enter.
Why it may be useful
May help identify recurring triggers when sufficient records exist.
Limitations
Trigger identification depends on consistent recording. Correlation is not causation.

Daily check-in

Between attacks, log daily wellness factors: water intake, sleep duration and quality, exercise minutes, and stress level. Track preventive medication adherence with a daily checklist.

Information used
Water, sleep, exercise, stress and medication adherence data you provide.
Why it may be useful
Provides context for lifestyle-based pattern analysis.

Menstrual-cycle tracking

Record cycle dates, flow intensity and notes alongside your migraine data. The app can identify cycle-related patterns when sufficient data exists.

Information used
Cycle phase, flow level and notes you provide.

Understanding what Nimbus Shield cannot do

  • Nimbus Shield is not a medical device and does not diagnose any condition.
  • Findings depend on the information you record — incomplete records may lead to incomplete insights.
  • Pattern identification requires consistent recording over time.
  • Nimbus Shield cannot predict attacks, recommend treatments or replace professional medical advice.
  • Voice transcription accuracy varies by audio quality, accent and environment.
  • Insights and correlations are observational, not clinical. Individual results vary.
